sweet. wait, what?!

Taylor has been a ham this morning. A ham with a side of silly. A heaping pile of silly.

Taylor keeps telling me that I am 'Super Cute' over and over and over. It was making him laugh so hard each time he'd say it. So, does he mean it, or is he telling a joke?

He then points to me and says 'Making you laugh, Mom, making you laugh'. I still don't get it. Is he mocking me?

Mister Taylor

Awhile ago I ran into a friend from freshman year at UO, Julie, and we reconnected. She lives up here with her husband and darling daughter and they live close, so I couldn't be more thrilled. Taylor adores Julie and her daughter, and I am so happy we ran into one another.

Julie is an amazing photographer and has a great blog and website you should check out! She took these pictures of Taylor last week and we had a blast. She did so well and you can't even tell that Taylor was running away from the camera 99% of the time!

Thanks, Julie! I love the pictures and we can't wait for another playdate!

preschool

This morning we are going to sit in on a preschool class with Taylor. He'll start preschool in September. I can't believe my baby is growing up. And what will I do with 2 hours twice a week by myself?

We'll let you know how the visit goes when we get back!!

[sweetheart]

I need to take all these blog posts and have a book made of them. I just have to, because it's too easy to forget all the cute and crazy things that Taylor encounters. I will always remember this though, on my own, no book needed - today he did something I'll remember for a long time.

Taylor wrapped his arms around me and gave me a huge hug and said 'I so excited you're my mommy.'

Tears! I love my sweet boy.

lunch-dating cousins

We were lucky enough to have a lunch-date with Summer and McKenna on Saturday after Taylor's gymnastics class. The kiddos had a great time and Summer won Taylor over by buying him an ice cream sundae. Not that he didn't love her more than anything already - ice cream sundaes never hurt. Thanks for a great day, Aunt Sissy and McKenna! We love you both so much!

Can you tell how much Taylor adores McKenna?! He can't take his eyes off of her for a second!

he [hearts] fire trucks

Is there a kid out there that isn't fascinated by big, huge, red fire trucks? I doubt it. Taylor sure loves them!

Saturday after having lunch with Summer and McKenna, Trask and I took Taylor down the street to go see a few fire trucks that the Forest Grove Fire Department had in the parking lot of a shopping center. It was all set up for the kids to come see the firefighter's gear and climb in the trucks.

Taylor was in heaven! He got to climb all over one of their newest fire engines. He steered the steering wheel, he pushed buttons, he took it all very seriously, too, of course. He hopped in the back and hung out there for awhile, too. He was so happy! All the dials, gages and knobs were so shiny and pretty - he was so intrigued. As was I, but for other reasons. [we all know how much Taylor's mommy loves the fire fighters].

A big THANK YOU to the great Forest Grove Fire Fighters. We adore you.
